    We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Crewing Coordinator for Jack-Up Barge and Swift Drilling., both part of the Van Es Group. This unique role involves ensuring that our barges are manned with qualified offshore personnel, in line with company policies, client requirements, and legislation. It’s a challenging and diverse position that requires close collaboration with various departments and external agencies.

    Your role

    • Reports directly to the Crewing Manager
    • Works closely with our other Crewing Coordinator
    • Assists Rig Managers with crew pre-qualification and planning
    • Close contact with Rig Managers, Vessel Management Team, Crew, Crewing Agencies, and the QHSE department

    Making impact

    As crewing coordinator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day service delivery, planning, and execution of all personnel logistics operations relating to their assigned vessels. This encompasses all aspects of mobilising and demobilising personnel being sent offshore, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. This will be done in cooperation with our selected agencies, with whom you will be working on a daily basis. Planning, changing out crew and thinking ahead will be the most important parts of this job. All of this is done as part of the team with our other crewing coordinator and our crewing manager.

    Key Responsibilities 

    • Coordinate the pre-selection and recruitment of offshore personnel and maintain effective manning pools, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial budgets
    • Manage crew qualifications, training, and certifications and develop training matrices based on company policies and project needs
    • Ensure efficient and reliable crew rotation for all barges, filling opportunities for inter-barge changeouts
    • Monitor crewing agencies to ensure they comply with frame agreements
    • Take over and cover the responsibilities and duties of the Crewing Manager in their absence
    • Be available by phone outside office hours for emergencies and high-priority situations in consultation with colleagues within the Crewing Department
    • Conduct yearly visits to barges (once in port) and meet with agencies and service providers to review cooperation

    Your experience, skills, and personal competences

    • Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a crewing coordinator in offshore or marine settings, preferably with Jack-up experience
    • Regulations: Strong understanding of international crewing regulations and maritime labour laws
    • Languages: Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken)
    • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant Crewing software
    • Key Skills: Excellent organisational and planning skills
    • Personal Attributes: Assertive. Detail-oriented, stress-resistant, and adaptable with strong initiative and problem-solving abilities
    • Interpersonal Skills: Effective networking, relationship-building, and teamwork capabilities
    • Professionalism: High integrity, ethical standards, and organisational awareness, and the ability to switch easily between crew and management levels
