Document Controller
We are looking for a part-time, detail-oriented, and accurate Document Controller for Jack-Up Barge and Swift Drilling, both part of the Van Es Group. In this role, you will manage, distribute, and archive certificates and other essential technical documents, drawings, and personnel-related records. You will work in a dynamic environment where accuracy and a structured approach are crucial to ensuring smooth administrative processes.

 Your role

• Reports directly to the Engineering & Asset Integrity Manager
• Works closely with our other (part-time) Document Controller
• Contacts with the OIM’s (Offshore Installation Managers), Rig Managers, Crewing Manager and the QHSE Department

• Ensures compliance and certification of all assets by accurately managing and archiving certificates and technical documentation
• Enhances operational efficiency by maintaining an organised and structured document control system. This enables quick access to critical information for various departments, improving efficiency and decision-making processes
• Supporting Safety and Quality Standards by properly handling documentation and contributing to our safety culture

Key Responsibilities

• Coordination and maintaining the Document Control processes and/or procedures and reviews these annually for improvements and necessary changes
• Executes a prompt follow-up after the different departments have submitted their request to upload and/or update various vessel-related documents (technical documentation, drawings, logs, inspection reports, and certificates
• Updating documents with the expansion of the company

 Must-have experience/qualifications

• A technical, administrative background interested in the Offshore or Construction industry.
• Proficiency in software: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel as a minimum), Adobe Acrobat.
• Demonstrable skills in drafting and implementing management procedures
• Proficiency in English language

Preferred experience/qualifications

• Familiarity with the terminology used in the maritime/offshore industry regarding systems, equipment, certification systems, etc.
• O.D.-1 training (Basic Information Management training)
• Experience with software such as Trueview (ACAD viewer), STAR-IPS or similar document management systems and SharePoint
• Proficiency in Dutch language
